Advanced Analytics
in government

The federal government serves the people of the United States and can utilize a variety of data science and BI tools and technologies to explore advanced analytics. These tools and technologies are used to create ML and AI models, predictive models, automation, reporting suites, and dashboards. For both data science and BI, the government can utilize open source and/or third-party applications. While Analytica is technology agnostic, we have established strategic partnerships with key vendors to ensure we are able to offer the most current and advanced features and functionality.

Services
Analytica’s certified data science and BI practitioners are experts in their fields and will work hand in hand with government stakeholders to explore the solutions and services that we can offer:

Data Science

With our innovative approaches, we help our clients to achieve their business goals.

  • Data Wrangling
  • Machine Learning
  • Natural Language Processing
  • Data Visualization

Business Intelligence

Analytica specializes in open-source and third-party BI tools which will empower your team to take full advantage of advanced analytics. We achieve this through following industry standard best practices, forecasting and predictive modeling, natural language processing, automated reporting capabilities, data preparation, and highly intuitive, user-centric reporting suites. Analytica ensures that we’re using the best tool for the job to maximize your return on investment.

Dashboard & Reporting Solutionists

Our certified practitioners will work with your stakeholders to create a unique and seamless reporting solution. This is achieved through compelling data visualizations, dynamic insights, and engaging dashboard designs. We focus on delivering solutions that are easy to navigate and understand, including: executive dashboards, KPI reports, time series analysis, predictive analysis, self-service reporting, diagnostics, and more. We ensure the solutions we deliver meet your goals, scale with your data, and are set up to succeed.

Our Methods

We use the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) and Agile methodologies to develop our products.

What is the CRISP-DM?
The CRISP-DM is a software development cycle that consists of:

Business Understanding

Identify the client’s needs and challenges, and frame the data science objectives

Data Understanding

Learn about the data—quantity and quality

Data Preparation

Now that we know our objectives and data, we transform the data to be used in our modeling process

Modeling

Utilize the right tools and techniques for algorithms that are carefully selected based on the data science objectives

Evaluation

Measure the model performance and compare with the project’s goals, collect client feedback, and iterate the process until we meet the project’s goals

Deployment

Once the model is satisfied, our DevOps and engineers work to scale the ML engine to production CRISP-DM promotes tools that are: scalable to data size and complexity; consistent with the user and business requirements; and reproducible as the tools and data evolve.

Enterprise Analytics Modernization

Enterprise-level business intelligence, data management, and analytics have evolved materially over the last few years. However, many organizations still maintain highly siloed data with limited self-service and enterprise-level data management and analytics capabilities. Analytica was engaged by a federal government client, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), to help modernize their enterprise analytics capabilities and support the analysis of hundreds of millions of records from across DHS agencies. The client faced difficulty linking immigrant identities from the disparate records stored in more than four dozen separate data silos. Downstream, this hindered their ability to perform timely mission critical enterprise-level planning, prescriptive, and predictive analytics.
